The International Office at Ludwigsburg University of Applied Sciences organises and coordinates the university’s international relations and offers a wide range of services in the field of internationalisation.

We are the first point of contact for international matters for all lecturers, staff and students at Ludwigsburg University of Applied Sciences, as well as for exchange students and prospective international students.

Studying, work placements and language courses abroad look good on any CV. The International Office therefore provides information on work placements abroad and the funding opportunities available.

Internationalisation strategy

Ludwigsburg University of Applied Sciences supports all members of the university community in establishing and developing international contacts and promotes its students’ intercultural skills through study abroad programmes and international teaching content.

The university’s internationalisation strategy, which is enshrined in the Erasmus Policy Statement, aims to integrate internationality at all levels and across all areas of university operations: in teaching, applied research, continuing professional development and university administration. In line with the internationalisation strategy of the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts, Ludwigsburg University of Applied Sciences will systematically expand its internationalisation activities and use them specifically to enhance quality in research and teaching practice. We place particular emphasis here on the Danube region and the ‘Four Motors of Europe’, as well as on key partner countries in the state policy of Baden-Württemberg.

The University’s International Office supports the Rectorate in the further development of the internationalisation strategy and coordinates all international activities at university level.

To promote the active participation of members of German higher education institutions (Master’s students, PhD candidates and academic and research staff) in the field of applied sciences at international scientific congresses and conferences, as well as at international trade fairs (both in person and online). Active participation in congresses and conferences is defined as presenting one’s own paper or poster, or taking primary responsibility for the conception and chairing of a panel.
